Puerto Rico needed our help more than ever. LGBTQIA+ people in the rural areas of Puerto Rico were forced to simultaneously fight discrimination and for survival after Hurricane Maria. People went without power, goods, and even homes for too long. So what do we do about it? For starters, we made noise.
100% of our proceeds went to an incredible organization called WAVES AHEAD—an organization that helps marginalized households, and has expanded its charitable efforts to provide hurricane relief. They offer goods, at-home therapy, and home rebuilds/renovations.
The pin's design is inspired by LGBTQIA+ pride (which we were celebrating in NYC) and the Puerto Rican flag.

Oh, did we mention that we sold $2,000 worth of pins in under 4 days?
Hm. Well, we did—thanks to the power of social media. Although the media seems to be forgetting about the Puerto Rico, the people didn't. Co-collaborator, Greg Falconi (@Grelconi) posted a tweet fueled by passion and it caught fire, reaching nearly a thousand likes and re-tweets per day.
